L297, l298N Circuit????

Hello Folks,

I attempted to build a bipolar circuit based on the L297, L298 combo of
which I found various .pdf files with specs and usually a circuit that
sometimes varies slightly depending on the source.

As yet I have not managed to get this circuit to work at all!
If anyone has a circuit diagram using these chips that works I would
love to see it.
Also I would appreciate any info / input you may have with regards to
building these circuits.
