connector is a DB25. There's no such thing as a DB9 and there's
probably not a DB15 either.
The 9 pin connector commonly used by IBMAT serial ports is a DE9. The
high density version, commonly used by IBM monitors is a DE15.
The 15 pin connector used by IBM joysticks and Mac monitors is a DA15.
And the standard density 37 pin connector is a DC; the standard density
50 is a DD.
