Tree Milling Machine

An ad in the local throw away paper advertised a Tree
Milling Machine for $695 so I went to check it out. I
know next to nothing about checking out the condition,
etc. of a machine like this. What is found out is
that the table traveled in both directions and the
spindle went up and down and the levers to lock up the
travels in all directions did their job.

This machine is a Model 2UV and is for sure an older
machine, but the price seemed OK to me. If anyone has
any information or knows where I can obtain info on
this machine, I'd be most appreciative. Especially
whether or not this machine is a decent candidate for
converting to CNC.

My goal is to have a CNC operated mill and got
interested in all this by wanting to build a CNC
plasma cutter then got interested in everything about
CNC, this list, and related subjects. It's almost to
the point of an obsession now.
