maxnc digitizing probe OL vs CL?

Anyone know the difference between the maxnc digitizing probe for the
CL and the OL (besides for the $100?)
I was just looking over the "digitizer.PDF" in the files section here
(like the maxnc probe).. concept looks pretty simple in general. But
how to connect to a maxnc 15CL2? Since im assumeing the probe for the
OL's is just read as a 2-wire limit switch (w/bounce prevention), how
does the CL read it?
