connector block & DB25

Hi,
With so many motor controllers using different pin-outs, I am
thinking of using the ordinary household electrical connector block
(with screw terminals) as an intermediary between the motor driver
and the DB25 terminal for the controller, so that I can easily switch
the wires when I switch controller.
Or perhaps take apart a computer switch, cut-up the connecting wires
and resplice it to correspond to the different controller. In this
way, when one switch controller, all one need to do is to switch it
to the corresponding terminal.
Will there be any problem arising from this, such as spurious noise
pick-up, connection problems, etc?
