EMCO Unimat CNC lathe/mill for sale

I have an Emco/Unimat lathe mill CNC combo unit for sale. It is
about 6 or 7 years old and comes with lots of extras. You can see
the pictures in the Files section under the folder "emco unimat"
It is a 2 axis CNC lathe with a Milling head attachment. DC variable
speed spindle motor and comes with the following
3 jaw chucks (1 for lathe and 1 for mill)
Collet chuck (collet size unknown)
Milling vise
Clamp set
Extra milling table
Standard tool post
Quick change tool post w 2 holders
Cut off tool and holder
Fly cutter with HSS tools
misc clamps, HSS blanks, extra parts
Spindle Encoder
ISA PC driver card
30 lbs of manuals, software and CNC course materials (came from a
school)
It can be used CNC or manual. Stepper motors are plotter sized with
belt drive to the screws. This is a very small machine for model
maker or light duty hobby use only!! About the size of a Clisby
(appx 4" swing and 8" between centers) Many of the parts are new in
the box and the machine has NEVER BEEN USED.
I only opened the boxes yesterday to check contents and take photos.
It appears that the original setup supports threading.
Here are the catches.
EMCO will NOT support the software or machine.(I checked)
Software is on 5" floppy disks.
I will guarantee the machine (mechanisms, spindle motors, etc) is in
perfect working order but will not make any guarantee on the drivers
or software.
It is probably metric although I don't know for sure.
I don't know the spindle taper or thread nor the axis travels. I
only had a few minutes last night to play with it and take pictures.
It is not my property, I am selling for a friend, and It will go on
Ebay if there are no serious interests here. The owner wants 3000,
and will consider serious offers, but will most likely stay firm till
after the results of the Ebay auction.
