Now comes the BDI catch. The disk is $10 -- the password is 3K.. <g>
Real login often comes as a shock to other os users. You need a name and a
password to even get in. The name root is a good name for systemwide stuff
and with the bdi, 2.04 it is set to a null password when you install. When
you see the login widget type root and press return twice and you should be
there.
Once in, you can use the user manager to set a real root password so the
kids don't trash it for you. There is a FAQ on how to run the EMC as a
user rather than as root. This requires a bit of understanding about unix
file permissions. You'll get there.

Just got a round to installing BDI-EMC and all went well untill the
restart when the login promt for EMC came up. Can't get past it. I though i
might of miss-typed the info in the install so I reinstalled BDI-EMC and
the same thing is happing. Did i miss something or is the login and pass
word something that I need to get and if so where?
Thanks
