Bill,
Go to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/machines and look for two files.
Timing belt.pdf and
Timing belt.xls
The first one is a very good document on all aspects of timing belt
design and selection.
The second is an Excel program that works out all the variables you
need to machine the normal type.
