laser design model 1084-3xc scanner

I have an 89 model nonfunctioning laser scanner and would like to
find the drivers for it. Laser design says it is obsolete and they
can not help me except to sell me a new one. I would like to get it
working or convert it to a mini mill. It has Compumotor Plus with
what appears to be a magnetic encoder (daedal inc.) on the table
slides. Any help would be appreaciated.
