fill the room slowly with sand the old fashioned egyptian
way in order to get the ram back on.
I have double doors only a few feet below ground level.
We used a rough terrain fork lift to get it around back.
Actually, I wish I had rented a boom forklift and just
put it in the basement, the rental guy was worried that
I didn't have enough room to maneuver, but I'm pretty
sure I did. We rolled it down some 4x4's with black
iron pipe. This would probably be a good thing to
do a photo-essay on how to move a large machine
with just two pieces of pipe and a jo-bar. You
need the jo-bar to get the first pipe underneath, then
no more jo-bar. The guy that generously helped me
move it thought he was going to die
before we started, but he got the trick, and all was well.
I once helped get a series I BP down some basement
stairs. I never got on the stairs with anything heavy.
We took it all the way apart, which was an education.
I when they took the base down the steps, I was sure
somebody wasa goin'ta die. Nobody did.
