I am in process on converting my sherline mill and lathe to CNC with
180 oz/in steppers with gecko 201's. I was wondering which software
to use as my controller. I would realy like to stay with a windows
based package if any perform good. I have looked at desk nc for
windows and flachcut cnc. I would appreciate any comments on the
desknc windows product or any other that I have missed. I want to
stay as low cost as possible at least initially.
Does the Desknc product support lathes?
Should I just revert to a DOS based due to performance?
Which windows based packages have good performance?
Really appreciate your comments.
Also thank for the feed back on terminals on the bridge rectifier!
Thank You.
