I am in process on the PCB mill from John Kleinbauer on the web page below.
I found the plans well thought out. I have 99% of the plastic cut out. Now
I need to start
drilling the holes and changing some of the dimensions to fit the Aluminum
channel that I have. I like the on a shoe string approach that John
Kleinbauer takes. It makes finding part
easy. The plans even include a stepper controller made from common parts.

Hi,
You might want to try Store Front Aluminum channel carried
by you local glass company. You can form all kinds of shapes
using the associated hardware. John Kleinbauer uses it to
build his milling machines. see link
