Greetings all,
I have been following the thread on digitizer probes, recognizing just how
little I know. Man, you guys know a lot of stuff !
Anyhow, about two years ago, I had someone write for me a little DRO program
in VB that I wanted to use with a simple hand held flatbed device. Mostly for
XY profile work.
My thoughts kinda were like this: http://skalarcnc.netfirms.com/
I thought a few encoders, some toothed belts (boy, I know some of you hate
that stuff) and some linear rails would do it.
The bottom line is, I have never gotten around to use it. I've got the source
code and all but would not know what to do with it. It is laid out to allow
you to drag along an edge while it "logs" or "pastes" X-Y (even Z) positions
as text in Wordpad (I think)
Well, I would like to share it with anyone interested from the group. I would
like to know if it works, and if need be modified, wouldn't mind a copy of
the working product. All of it is under 400kb made for Win95.
I think it is set up to you a board from Dan Mauchs site or maybe Tom Kulaga.
If someone would like to give a go at it, let me know.
Thanks,
Chris Luebke
