Lost archives! Are we backed up somewhere?

Hello,
Having been away from many lists for awhile now, I "checked in" today to several. What I found was disappointing to say the least!
Several groups, including the "Sherline" yahoo group, seem to have deleted their archives. I don't know if this was intentional by the group leader(s), or a response by yahoo to storage size (large archives?), or worse...
Does anyone know the story/stories?
I know that awhile back, Terry L Ridder was re-posting our archive to a private site. Is this still happening? Are we backed up somewhere? I'd sure hate to lose this resource of past posted info...
If I've missed a long drawn-out thread on this, I apologise for wasting space and time. If so, maybe Tim or Bill could respond to my personal email, to save me from 1200 "answers" :-)
