A couple of things

I think so, it's much easier to mount a linux system than fix my
head :-)

Second, I know Darrell came with some encouragment too, but I just
can't find it right now.

Well, If assholes could fly.... - the flames that went on, made me
think. It is good to let out steam sometimes, but it was bad for my
affliction. To be honest, it was disturbing to just read it. But
is is nice to see that things have cooled down. I just wondered if
it was worth my time. But of course, I am an ass too, - but I don't
intend to.

Well,

No, not the way I was thinking, - and I said a few words about tar
files, and images of linux/rt/EMC setup.
Just want to say that they have made a system at CERN with Expect
scripts, that installs the whole linux systems different computers,
- compilations. That was what I was thinking about. Unpack the
whole thing, making it easier for people to install it. But we
would need a place to have those files. And other nice things.

I am trying to find out who is having proplems with scsi disk, but I
have lost the thread. It is terrible to see all that suffering, - so
I just include a lilo.conf from one of mine:

boot=/dev/sda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
linear
timeout=50
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.0.32
label=linux
root=/dev/sda5
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.0.32.img
read-only
other=/dev/sda1
label=dos
table=/dev/sda

--------------------
This had a few problems in the beginning. Used a DPT controller
board, and it got really hot. ( A 486 EISA )
I installed an extra fan, - cooling the SCSI board, and I have not
had any trouble with it ever since.
This machine is an Apache/Samba/NFS/Printer server, and is always
running when I do anything at all. It has runned without problems
for more than a year now. I newer even use the keyboard and
display. I just mount the whole machine into a local directory, if I
need space. The Apache/Samba servers, does their job, and when I
shut it down, I made an Expect scripts, so I do that remote.

As you see, there is no rt-kernal installed, but it looks like you
even have problem with just linux. Anyway, I included the
lilo.conf, in case it could be of any use.
