I'm a gunsmith living in Trinidad, CO....home of the oldest gunsmithing
school in the world.
Have the guy contact me ( smoke@... ) I'll be doing this very
thing real soon....already have the equipment for doing it. I just did a
practice piece using a ball end mill and the part came out so smooth, it
would have required very little finish sanding. I'm also building an
inletting machine that does both LH and RH semi-inlets from the same
pattern.

milled in wood. He has all kinds of questions that I can't answer about
modifying the scanned file, what condition the wood will be in after it gets
milled, etc. I told him I'd post a notice on this list to see if anyone
would be interested in contacting him about doing this. I know he is looking
for someone to do this in a production capacity, although I don't know how
many he wants made. Probably not many to start with, although I expect there
will be a greater demand in time.
with him.
