You give me a headache ! I try to vision a rose engine, - but I
find it difficult. I wish someone would post a picture of it on the
web.

Well, the CAD/CAM stuff may be a little hard. I didn't know that
you could use pictures as background in AutoCad - but I have never
had the newer releases. But I do see this might be handy. Back in
my school days, I had some teachers that was a bit surprised at
something I did:

I used a PCB program, and wanted to copy some boards shown in some
electronic magazines. I soon got tired of it, and thought of having
it up on the screen as a background. I designed a small interface,
and sent sync signals from the PC to a video camera, and mixed the
video signals. So, I had my background. It was real nice, but had
a few difficulties. The lens distorted the image, so it would not
keep exact dimension to the PCB program if I was far out on the
edges. In those cases, I had to move the camera a bit.
But of course, this was way back when you used CGA video, and not
high freq. monitors.

Well, this was a little sidetrack again, but I do very well
understand that this background technique is very nice. In fact, I
have never really been able to get it out of my mind. I also played
around with it, for measuring things. Counted video lines, but I
never got anything useful from it. This was before you could buy
any card that could read in video signals - so ... and I was not
clever enough :-)

By the way, I tried Rhino - but ran out of "uses". I newer came
around to understand how you could use it, or the potential of it.

Anyway, - so you don't think any trepan would cure the Arneitis ?
As you said, to relieve inside pressure, - but what would you do
when there is a vacuum ? ;)

The patient,
