Murray:
You could try MSC, Stock Drive Products/Sterling, Browning (EPT), Boston
Gear, or McMaster. Also a local industrial supply house should have
other sources. You could run into minimum order requirements with any
but MSC and McMaster.
But, does anyone know of a source for helical gears? I can't find a
source for helical gears with helix angles less than 45 degrees. I need
hardened ones in the 16 or 20 inch pitch size for 8 or 10 to 30 or 40
teeth range. It's for a gear box and I'd like the smoothness of helicals
with less thrust loading than the 45 degree helix gives.
Thanks.
