DIY programmable index table?

Wondering about any current projects for milling machine programmable
index/ rotary tables. I'd like to convert one of the 5C "tree" fixture
type manual index heads to programmable/ cnc. Sherline has a small
one
they offer. Guess I'd like to knock off a Haas type.
