Autodesk has a free downloadable application, Volo View Express 2 that lets
you view and print basic design drawing formats.

Volo View Express 2 views DWG, DXF, and DWF (ePlot and eView) files. It will
support raster images ("hybrid" raster-vector files) that are embedded in
DWG or DWF files, using the same image rendering found in AutoCAD. It will
also view 3D ACIS solids in DWG or DXF files.

It is a very large download ~25 MB. I haven't tried this version (just
downloaded it) but the previous version works very well (and was half the
size!).
