A Heidenhain DRO configuration question

on 2001-12-04 10:04:59 UTC
Hi

Can anyone with Heidenhain documentation or experience help please?

I have two DRO units ex digital height gauges bought at auction. The
newer is a model VRZ181 (circa 1982) the older a model 300-380 (circa
1980 - same functions on outside as other but much more TTL in it).

Both boxes came with LS903 scales and read to the nearest micron.

On the PCB of both units there are 4 rotary switches. Both are set to
0311 (or at a pinch it might be 1130!)

I presume that these switches are used to configure the display for
things like: (a) direction of movement for positive display, (b)
interpolation factor, (c) ruling on scale, (d) Times 2 for diameter
display etc. There are too many posibilities to use trial and error
to discover anything.

Has anyone got a description of the meanings of these switches please?

Thanks in anticipation
John Prentice
