It is a somewhat sticky oil designed to stay in place. Use on
horizontal ways is somewhat debated, but it is needed for vertical
ones. It is available in a gallon size from the likes of MSC for not
very much money.

There are some who will claim that chainsaw bar oil (locally available
in quart sizes) is comparable.
