For a quick fix, EMC doesn't require line #'s. Try running w/o them.
The interpreter is supposed to handle unlimited length programs, so I
would tend to think this bug related to the operator interface. The EMC list
at the NIST is a good place to ask, too.
I'll try running a 100,000+ line prog on my EMC setup, as well.
