New Year’s resolution has more than one meaning to ChipCenter
test-and-measurement editor Alex Mendelsohn. He reviews some nifty
PCIbus cards from ADlink and National Instruments, one of which
catapults PC-based data-acq into the 10-Msample/s regime. Mendelsohn
also describes new battery management silicon that he says comprises
a measurement system-on-a-chip, "implementing industry standards and
high-level programming, rather than homegrown conventions and assembler
coding." Mendelsohn also reviews new mid-range deep-memory o’scopes
from Agilent that surpass previous generation competitors.
