We may feel that way. But, not long ago, they would never had confidence in
"Fly by Wire" throttles in vehicles. I don't know about you, but I'll take a new
Corvette anyday. Bring it on over.

I will not worry that I am driving a projectile that could kill IF the "fly by"
technique fails.

Things change. If someone writes a controller program with these background
"calls" or possibilities in mind, the likely hood of accidents will be minimal.
I think Accidents still come back to the operator far more than any out of
control machine. Add to that, if you put a machine in the middle of a "Day
Care", you can clearly expect your accident odds to change. Point being, the
AREA around the machine must allow for safe operation.
