The RTLinux patent is a self defense mechanism so that
the companies that patent the concept after FMS don't
get to shut FMS down without a fight. Actually, there
is a license that says that you can use the patent
with linux as long as you GPL your work or you use a
generic computer running generic RTLinux.

So Fred's concept does not violate the patent or the
license.
