What can I do with two 40-46 oz/inch steppers?

Hey, bought two steppers for CHEAP... but they're only 40-46 Oz/inch
torque, 1.8DEG/STEP, 2 phase.
I'm wondering if they would be good for anything, for like a CNC lathe?
I'm not sure what else I could use them for... maybe I could clone that
EGG machine someone posted earlier. Which looked cool, but I think that
may be overkill for eggs. :)
What else could I do with just two (2) stepper motors... I'll have
drivers for them as well...
Will 40-46 Oz/inch torque be good enough to drive a small lathe? I have
a friend that may could get a free lathe (I don't know how, but he
assures me that they are legit, not stolen, or in anyway illegal). And
he can only get one (I asked).
Thanks
