Input on new EMC interface TkEmc

I don't know if anyone has had a chance to play with the new interface that
was included in the 12-nov-1999 build of EMC, but I got it set up and have a
few bits of input.
On a machine set to 1024 x 768 and running KDE the coordinate numbers are
the same size as all the other lettering in the interface (too small to be
very usable). On another system set to 800 x 600 running Afterstep the
displayed coordinates were large and nicely visible.
The "Browse" function when opening a file is very nice, but it does not read
the parameter in your .ini file for the default directory.
Seems like the functions that can not be completed in a particular mode
should be made so you can not even start the process. For example, if in
manual mode you can select the open file option and even select a file, but
when you then click the button to actually open the file you have selected
you now get an error telling you the action can not be done in the current
mode.
The keyboard keys seem strangely mapped. I was in Auto mode and had a
program loaded. I was stepping through using the mouse and all was well. I
hit the "s" key expecting step and it appeared to really give me run as the
program took off instead of processing a single step.
Over all it is a nice interface and I am very pleased with it. Thanks Fred.
