Hi,
The typematic rate isn't set by the keyboard, it is a byte in low
memory in the PC. I wrote
a dos program some years back that sets it to the highest repeat rate
(30/sec) and the lowest
wait before repeating (1/4 sec), which makes computers seem a lot
faster. (I also wrote one to
slow things down just to irritate my coworkers.) They are I believe 16
bytes each, not being
windows based - if anyone is interested I can put them on my website or
on the group file area.
They still work fine under windows.
By the way, someone mentioned that acetic acid is vinegar. My high
school chemistry
teacher told us that he drank some acetic acid just to prove that point,
and regretted it
even after they pumped his stomach - vinegar is about 1% acetic acid,
the real stuff is quite
corrosive.
