Brigdeport CNC retrofits

I have a Bridgeport series 1 CNC mill that I am planning on
retrofitting. For the people that have done this, are you satisfied
with the mill, or would you have been better off buying a newer CNC
mill? What is the best way to go about learning the steps to go
about doing a retrofit?
