G-Code Editor

As a newbie and just getting starting into CNC, I am looking for a G-Code Editor that is capable of permitting the writing of G-code by hand separate from importing a file into it, and also with the capacity of importing a file to modify.
All help in this matter will be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help
