Interesting. I had a few numbers together concerning
Homebrew cnc controls.

This is for a Bridgeport or large table router.
The first column is full servo, all new components at
street price, using the free EMC software.

The second is using reasonable surplus sources, step
driven servo amps, parallel port, and EMC.

Just rough figures... but it kinda shows why so many are
here!
