TR Absolute encoder usage

I have acquired a programmable shaft encoder that has RS422, RS485 and
various other i/o connections. Would it be possible to connect any of these
to a PC so that I can use it as a DRO?

The encoder is made by TR Electronics in Germany and it is TYPE CE65M
Version 1439-V001
Internally it has a glass disk 4096 encoder disk followed by a train of
reduction gears driving four more disks which count up to 4096 rotations.

Has anyone interfaced these to a display of any sort?

Below is an extract from the connections data sheet.
