Um, I have plenty of conductive adhesive in the shop. If you want I could
get the wife out there and if she will hold still, I can try it.

Now seriously (sorry still chuckling) polymer thick film adhesive products
have been used for a long time for high rel component mounting and die
attach.
I even developed some.

But I don't think it would be easier than soldering. Surfaces have to be
carefully prepared.
The conductivity is much much lower than solder. It works best with pads
designed for it.

One thing that is done with solder is to screen on a paste and then reflow
it with vapor phase machines or hot air.

For small runs I still rely on just a good professional iron (with heat
control) and a Bausch and Laumb zoom stereo microscope. I have a little
wooden prop for my
hand so I can control movements better. It's not too bad. I have used dabs
of solder paste with an iron ok as well. One can get pretty fast at it.
