It's been a while since I've thought about this kind of stuff! My best guess
is that as long as you divide the drive into partitions smaller than 32MB
each, you'll be fine. Is this going to be an MFM drive? If it's a really old
motherboard the onboard BIOS may not support a "dumb" IDE card. There used to
be IDE cards with BIOS extension ROMs to solve this problem and later there
were extension ROMs that allowed larger than 528MB drives as well. If you're
going MFM I suggest a nice Seagate ST251-1 with a Western Digital (1006?)
controller card (it is an AT right?). Remember to set your drive address
jumpers and don't forget the resistor pack that terminates the cable!
