I just bought a keyboard emulator from the following
http://www.hagstromelectronics.com/modules.html
I think this is the key to a stand alone "puck" pulse generator for
remote jogging etc.
It responds to the simple closing of a switch to emulate keystrokes ,
up to 72 separate inputs, and can be programmed with macros.
I plan on interfacing it with a quadrature encoder and a switchbox.
I should be able to switch back and fourth between the keyboard and
the MPG without the control noticing any difference.
It is very similar to the Genovation remote programmable keypad but
much more flexible for custom switches etc.
Any comments are appreciated
