EDM, anyone?

Just a quick delurk to mention one of my favorite techniques, namely
electrical discharge machining, also called spark machining. I like it
for many reasons, not the least of which is that little force is exerted
by the tool and very hard materials can be machined as easily as very
soft ones. The missing ingredient is CAM, as the preferred field of
application of EDM is in making tools like drawing dies, etc.
Anyway, my question is: does anybody on this list have experience with
EDM, with or without automatic tool path control?
