I have a Sherline 4" rotary table which weighs a few pounds and a
dividing head based on a Taig lathe spindle that is comparable in
size but somewhat lighter & not as rigid as the Sherline table.

It took both of us to lift this Hoffmann dividing head onto the table.

There's nothing intrinsically more heavy duty about one vs the other -
it depends on your application & the size of the devices you are
comparing.
