Hi Peter;

Sorry to be slow replying, I was hoping someone with specific CNC
experience would chime in. The mono jack and plug seems a reasonable
approach to me. I assume the controller is mounted to a wall or on/in
something that doesn't get shaken around by machine vibration? If this
is the case, the jacks should work fine. Portable CD player headphone
jacks tend to get a bit loose after a year or two. I don't know if
this is due to vibration or just cheap hardware.
