I am unfamiliar with the Camtronics drive. Is that a "chopper drive"?
Bipolar, so probably. Therefore, you have a DC supply voltage much higher
than the motor-rating; like 24 VDC or more? Think, then, about the POWER
involved, not the "phase current ratings". If a motor uses, say, 3 VDC/4
amp, that is 12 VA per phase. So, if you have a 24 VDC supply, that would be
only 0.5 V per phase from the DC supply. Confusing, yes. Had ME going until
Mariss held my hand and explained. Duh...
