It's Alive, Alive, Alive!

Hi list,
Thanks to all for your help and the information posted on this board,
my machine moved in all three axis (axies? - whatever) today.

Specs:
48" x 48" x 7" movement - 1/2" aluminum stationary table - mini-mill
on Z axis - Gecko 201 drives - Bob Campbell's parallel port board
(really great design and quality - Geckos too) -
three, 60 volt, 5 amp power supplies - 1" Acme lead screws - homemade
antibacklash nuts. Still some work and tweeking to do, but the end
is near - will soon go into production.

Six months of only weekend work; too many mistakes to admit, a bit
more work to do, but I was beginning to feel as though this day would
never arrive. When it is more presentable, I will post pictures.

Thanks all, I hope I can soon begin to contribute help to others as
you all have contributed help to me.
