Hi,

The year before last I posted a reply from USDigital about other encoder
strip resolutions they may be considering. The reply from them was that a
500 line linear strip should be available in July last year, it didn't
appear. I wrote to them last year and was informed they expected it
available early this year.

I received the below from them yesterday:

Dear Mr. Owens:

We do not have an EM1 module for the 360 LPI resolution. We are still using
the HEDS-9200-360 module at that resolution. We do not know if the 500 LPI
will be possible at this point. Initial testing of the EM1 at that
resolution proved unsatisfactory. Another attempt may be made at a future
date, but we do not have a definite word on that yet.
