Go to www.digikey.com Get a Panasonic T-UP series 33,000 uF at 50VDC.
Part number P10022-ND at $12.80 single quantity. This is a PCB mount
part. Use short, fat wires to a terminal strip and glue the cap down
to your chassis. The screw terminal version will set you back about
$40 so it's worth doing that.
Have them send you their catalog as well, arguably the best component
catalog around today.
