Some preliminary results from testing offsets...

A g92 offset persisted through a total linux shutdown so it
was written to the .var file. But offset display was ZERO
and g92 was NOT in the list of active modal commands
near the bottom of the screen. It was there and in effect
as far as machine motions though.

When another offset was performed by touching off and
issueing G92Z0 the offset display indicated the current offset
PLUS the previous one just mentioned.

A G92.2 was issued in MDI and removed all offsets as well
as zeroing the display and removing G92 from the active command list.

Another touching off and MDI G92Z0 resulted in proper operation.
An M30 issued from MDI removed it from the offset display and
active modal list but did NOT remove it from the control. I tested
this by doing some MDI G1 moves. It was persistent.

I don't know whether this behavior is time invariant. This is the first time
I saw offsets persist through a shutdown.Could it be
that we have a persistent G92 cancelled by G92.2 that DOESN'T
SHOW UP IN THE DISPLAY? That would surely cause great
confusion.

I think most of the relevant code is in rs274ngc.cc in the
convert_stop() function. Check it out.

This is BDI 2.14+.

More tests as I have time.
I am determined to get to the bottom of this.
