Re: retracting the CD offer

Hi,
Are you not offering the CD out of fear of legal action, or just because
you don't want to upset anyone? If it is the former then - as pointed
out already -
they don't have a leg to stand on. This is like copyrighting a
conversation and then
threatening anyone who repeats it - the thought of anyone actually
taking any action
beyond idle threats is ludicrous. (Also nobody is going to threaten
Yahoo, and they
are already making all of this available.)
If the latter, don't you think that the obnoxious and unreasonable
already have those
of us who are normal and polite at enough of a disadvantage?
If you want to continue with this service I would be prepared to burn
and mail the
things for you (I am assuming that there aren't _that_ many people
wanting a copy).
I am in Canada and feel that the chances of anyone initiating a
cross-border lawsuit is
approximately zero.
I could even tack a few bucks onto the cost for your time - I can't
imagine the amount
of labour that must have gone into this, and it seems really awful to
see all that work and
a resource like this lost.
