software ?

I'm looking for any constructive input for software. I've got a Taig
micromill which I've converted to CNC. I'm currently using CNCPro to
control it and VectorCam to generate the Gcode. I now find I would like to
step up to something that is more capable for 3D work. I've downloaded the
trial version of Rhino to have a look at (although it is out of my price
range right now) as well as a free version of AMAPI (4.1.5). It is taking
me some time to wrap my head around this 3d modelling thing.

However, now that I can generate a 3D model I need some way to get a file I
can cut. The programs that would appear to be somewhat affordable are
STLworks (and the lite version) and MillWizard. Does anyone here know of
any others? Are there any advantages to one of these programs over
another? I don't currently have a 4th axis on the mill but am working on
that now.
