Daniel:

I have NO fiscal connection with Gecko Drives, nor have I even MET Mariss,
but I will dare venture to say that it seems very clear from using my
first-ever two of his G210 drives that HE has the answer for you on this
point! The "microstepping" the G210 does essentially "rounds over" the
corners of the otherwise-square-wave the stepper-windings "see", and this
SURELY would at least HELP with any resochugging you are experiencing.

I just finished a tiny plotter using the Gecko drives (S.E. KML-061 motors,
bipolar "4-wire"), and when I "send pulses to it" from the printer-port
(useful for my application are rates from 60 to 400 Hz. "stepping rate"), it
"just moves smoothly"! No "buzzing" as older "full-step drives" (unipolar)
do! Clearly a better way to DO things! I only wish, now, I had known about
Gecko's G210 drives when I did the two lathes in 12-99, using KML-092 motors!
One lives and learns! Yes, even we learning-challenged old fools! Jan
