Just in case the motivation for the new group is misunderstood, let
me state that that group

was formed when someone mentioned that the

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cad_cam_edm_dro

files and photos section were full, and this new group was formed to
SUPPliment not SUPPplant nor sabotage that popular and most useful
list I have ever joined.

cad_cam_edm_dro list is so successful because of 2 major factors,
there may be others:

1. Bill's willingness to risk the ire of some when ruling on OT etc.
myself being guilty of OT sometimes.

2. the willingness of some easily recognisable "pillars" to share
their expertise and knowledge who answer posts regularly,
including Ballendo (from whom I have learned quite a bit of useful
things, let me declare), plus other less regular contributors. I
would be dreaming if I think that the new group would be able to
sup/sab this group without the those contributors. Witness how over
the recent past how many new groups have dwindled into the doldrums.

So, the group

is secondary to this group, and for you to upload files, photos only
when the files/photos section here is full

(and when your fingers get tired of typing cad_cam_edm_dro for us
lazy non-yankees cad_cam_edm_dro is a real fingerfull (internet
equivalent of a mouthful") though I still can't understand why those
hardworking yankees like to stick to their so-hard-to-calculate feet,
inches, onces, quarts, imperial and ..... gallons, etc. etc. when we
lazy non-yankees find the metric system so easy and logical. Flame
immune.
