Hi,
Imagine geckodrives that you can stick to your heatsink, or even to
your driver casing upside-down, without having to drill
hole/tap/screw/bolt. These would be the genuine geckodrives. Now it
is entirely feasible, even given the Gecko expert a non-biochemical
background.

The secret behind the ability of the Geckos to stick to walls involve
geometry, not the biochemistry of the Gecko's feet. Seemed weak Van
der Waals forces are involved. Geckos have millions of microscopic
hairs on the bottom of their feet tiny which split off into 1,000
tips that are so small they can only be detected with an electron
microscope. Now for genuine Geckodrives that have base with
microscopic hair that we can attach without the hassle of have to
drill holes
