Gecko + Cap across power sply term

Hello,
I have a Gecko G201 drive, IMS 6.3A 420oz motor, and IMS 40VDC 6A
power supply. Before I hook anything up wrong I have a few questions.
Will the power supply be enough for this motor?
The local Radio Shack doesn't have the exact current resistor I need
closest is 220K 1/2 watt. The closest Cap they have is 1000uF 50V will
this be good enough or will I damage to the drive? Thanks in advance
for any help.
